CARA Finals

 
 

 

SATURDAY:  10:00am START

SUNDAY:  12:00pm START

A SUPPER AND AWARDS TO FOLLOW SATURDAYS RODEO.  SUPPER TICKETS $10.

Anyone receiving a Season Leader award this year MUST be present to accept their award.  If you are unable to accept your award, please have someone to accept on your behalf.  If no one is there to accept your award, it will go to the next person in line.

 

To Qualify:  In order to compete at the Finals in any event, you have to have competed in that event, in at least one of the current season CARA rodeos. It does not matter if you bucked off or didn't make a catch, but you must have paid entry fees and actually competed. This is being recorded by the Rodeo Secretary of each Rodeo and then forwarded on to the CARA Secretary for verification, we will be verifying which Rodeos each contestant has attended to make sure Finals entries qualify.

The Format:
A three performance Rodeo

Senior Events:
Open to every member, in good standing, who has met the necessary qualifying requirements.
Double Points on Saturday, which then become added to your season points.
Season Champion will be determined after Saturday's Rodeo.  Awards will be presented Saturday night. Full Western attire is mandatory to accept awards, as we take pictures for our Sponsors.

 
The Top Ten leaders after Saturday will run in the first Sunday performance, plus any ties that have occurred. We will place to sixth.
The Top Four from each event will run in the short go plus any ties.

FOR EXAMPLE : If you have 60 points coming into the Finals and win your event on Saturday giving you 120 points, you then end up with 180 points, you may not make the Season Champion but you could qualify for the Finals Champion Top Ten for Sunday!!

Junior Events:
Open to every member, in good standing, who has met the necessary qualifying requirements.

Double points on Saturday which then become added to your season points.

The Top Six will run in the first performance on Sunday plus any ties that have occurred. We will place to sixth.
The Top Three from each event will run in the short go, plus any ties.

FOR EXAMPLE: If you come in to the Finals with 80 points and you place 2nd in your event on Saturday you will then receive 100 points giving you a total of 180 points, you may not make the Season Champion but you could qualify for the Finals Champion Top Six on Sunday!!


Season Champion will be determined after Saturday's Rodeo and Season Champions will be awarded Saturday night. Western attire is Mandatory to accept awards. There will be the opportunity to purchase a meal for Saturday evening throughout the afternoon by purchasing tickets at the concession before 2:00pm. There will also be a dance to follow.

Finals Entry Fees:
Senior Events:    Saturday $75.00,  Sunday $75.00 (includes Top 10 & Short Go)
Junior Events:     Saturday $50.00,   Sunday $50.00 (includes Top 6 & Short Go)


Note to Team Ropers : You need to rope with the same partner each day, the Top Ten Headers and the Top Ten Heelers must go as individuals. If the partner you go in with hasn't got enough points to make the Top Ten you will be drawn with the next available partner, who does qualify.

Gate admission $5.00 per day, Members Free but you must show your CARA Membership card.
